A California Freeway Patrol officer was shot whereas investigating an accident on a San Diego freeway Wednesday night, a report stated.
The unidentified eight-year CHP veteran had responded to a collision on I-8 round 6:15 p.m. when he turned “concerned in a battle with a pedestrian leading to a single gunshot,” CPH Captain Michael Harris stated at a press convention streamed by KGTV.
The officer was shot in his proper thigh and was in critical however secure situation, officers stated.
The suspected gunman was arrested with assist from bystanders, in response to CHP.
