The message read, “FIR has been filed against unknown persons who leaked and forwarded Sidhu Moose Wala’s unreleased songs. We are sharing FIR copy. The first accused who got arrested has been forgiven by Sidhu’s mother but we will not forgive next ones. Kindly don’t engage in such activities.”

It comes just days after Sidhu’s last song was released on his YouTube channel. Sidhu had recorded the song, which he had also written and composed, just weeks before his untimely death. Titled SYL, the song’s promo was shared on his Instagram page as well. The lyrics of the song referred to the Sutlej-Yamuna Link canal.

While the promo remained on Instagram, the song was removed from YouTube later. The link to the song now displays a message which reads, “Video unavailable. This content is not available on this country domain due to a legal complaint from the government. ” The video had already raked in over 27 million views by the time it was taken down.

Sidhu was shot dead in Punjabs Mansa district on May 29 by assailants, allegedly belonging to Lawrence Bishnois gang. An investigation into the matter is underway.
